Remote DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer (Columbo-Remote)

Description:

• Token Metrics is seeking a results-oriented IT administrator to manage the company's IT infrastructure.
• The role involves upgrading and installing hardware and software, troubleshooting to resolve IT issues, and maintaining networks and servers.
• The candidate should possess extensive experience in administration, including system administration for cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS and knowledge of multi-cloud infrastructure).
• Responsibilities include acting as a cloud system admin for AWS and Google Cloud, monitoring and maintaining networks and servers, and creating and automating alerting and monitoring system logs.
• The position requires building tools to mitigate weaknesses in incident management or software delivery and troubleshooting support escalation requests.
• The role also involves upgrading, installing, and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives, implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats, and creating user accounts while performing access control.
• Additional tasks include performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize computer systems, documenting processes, backing up and archiving data, and developing data retrieval and recovery procedures.
• The engineer will design and implement efficient end-user feedback and error reporting systems, supervise and mentor IT department employees, and provide IT support.
• Keeping up to date with advancements and best practices in IT administration is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a similar field is required.
• An applicable professional qualification, such as Microsoft, Oracle, or Cisco certification, is necessary.
• The candidate must have at least two years of experience in a similar role.
• Extensive experience with IT systems, networks, and related technologies is essential.
• A solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security is required.
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management skills are necessary for this position.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
