Description:
AnswerRocket is seeking a DevOps/SRE Engineer to enhance the reliability, performance, and scalability of their cloud environments.
The role involves collaboration with engineering, infrastructure, and operations teams.
Key responsibilities include designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Docker.
The engineer will implement and manage monitoring systems like Prometheus and Cloudwatch, define SLIs and SLOs, and create a robust incident response plan.
The position requires building automation tools for system health monitoring, scaling, and performance optimization using Rundeck, Jenkins, and other frameworks.
The engineer will design, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable application delivery.

The role includes providing operational support for production environments, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions for system reliability and scalability.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role, ideally within a cloud-native environment, with a preference for AWS.
A deep understanding of cloud services, particularly AWS and Azure, is required.
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation is necessary.
Proficiency in automation tools like Rundeck, Jenkins, and scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) is essential.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, and centralized logging systems (ELK, Splunk, etc.) is required.
Candidates should have experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
An understanding of best practices around security, compliance, and audits is necessary.
Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution and process optimization are required.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in cross-functional teams are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration tools is preferred.
Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Chef is a plus.
Knowledge of database management and monitoring is beneficial.
Experience with cost optimization in cloud environments is advantageous.
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred.
