Description:
TROOP is hiring a DevSecOps Engineer who will work remotely from Spain, South Africa, or the UK on CET/CAT.
The role involves engaging with clients to understand their security requirements, compliance needs, and privacy expectations.
The engineer will act as a trusted advisor on DevSecOps best practices, security architecture, and compliance strategies.
Responsibilities include leading the implementation and management of compliance frameworks and developing Policy-as-Code for CI/CD pipelines.
The engineer will conduct regular compliance audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk analyses.
They will manage bug bounty programs and serve as the primary contact for vulnerability submissions.
The role requires implementing data protection practices in line with GDPR and automating processes for data subject rights requests.
The engineer will develop automated security testing within CI/CD pipelines and integrate security tools for vulnerability detection and compliance monitoring.
Collaboration with legal and compliance teams is essential to interpret new regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a minimum of 5+ years in DevSecOps, Security Engineering, or a related role, with a strong background in security practices within the DevOps lifecycle.
Proven experience managing compliance frameworks and relevant security qualifications are required.
Proficiency in security automation tools, CI/CD tools (GitLab CI), and infrastructure as code (Terraform) is necessary.
Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS) and containerization technologies (Kubernetes) focusing on security and compliance is essential.
Familiarity with data privacy regulations, especially GDPR, and experience in implementing privacy-by-design principles are required.
Candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams are essential.
