Description:
The DevSecOps Engineer position is a remote role focused on the CloudWorks Migration and Modernization Initiative, which aims to assist businesses in migrating workloads to the cloud.
The initiative initially targets Amazon Web Services (AWS) and plans to expand to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, and other cloud providers.
The core objective is to modernize applications by leveraging cloud-native features to enhance performance, scalability, and operational efficiency, adhering to best practices.
The role involves implementing security measures throughout the cloud migration process to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts, designing CI/CD pipelines with integrated security checks, conducting security assessments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
The migration pod will transition to the next application in the queue for modernization and migration, aiming to sustain multiple pods operating concurrently.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps or related roles with a strong focus on cloud security.
Proficiency in AWS and experience in designing and managing secure, scalable cloud infrastructure is required.
A strong understanding of IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible is necessary for developing and managing cloud resources.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions, including integrating security checks into pipelines, is essential.
In-depth knowledge of security best practices and frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO/IEC 27001) is required.
Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automating security tasks are necessary.
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is required.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are essential.
Nice-to-have skills include experience with GCP and Azure cloud platforms, knowledge of security tools and technologies, and experience in implementing Zero-Trust architectures.
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security β Specialty, CISSP, or CCSP are preferred.
