Description:

  • Porter is hiring a DevSecOps Engineer to join their team.

  • The role involves leveraging Terraform to deploy continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines across AWS environments and regions.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Formation Templates is required.
  • The engineer will design and implement CI/CD pipelines to support blue/green and canary deployments.
  • Responsibilities include developing and maintaining backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • The engineer will implement disaster recovery plans and ensure systems are resilient across AWS availability zones.
  • Collaboration with development, operations, and security teams is essential to integrate security best practices into the CI/CD pipelines.
  • The role includes monitoring and managing infrastructure as code (IaC) to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
  • Automating security controls, data, and processes to provide improved metrics and operational support is part of the job.
  • Conducting regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities is required.
  • The engineer will provide guidance and training to team members on DevSecOps best practices and tools.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience with Terraform for deploying CI/CD pipelines in AWS environments is necessary.
  • A strong understanding of AWS services, including availability zones and disaster recovery strategies, is essential.
  • Experience designing and implementing blue/green and canary deployment pipelines is required.
  • Knowledge of backup and recovery processes and tools is necessary.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and best practices in a DevSecOps environment is important.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for this position.
  • Preferred qualifications include relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar.
