Remote DevSecOps Engineer

Description:

• The role involves driving architectural decisions and implementing security controls across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and development workflows.
• The engineer will partner with engineering teams to establish and maintain secure development practices, including threat modeling, security testing, and compliance frameworks.
• The position reports directly to the CTO and co-founder as part of a small and agile team.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of software development experience, focusing on secure development practices and DevOps methodologies.
• A deep understanding of cloud security architecture and hands-on experience securing AWS infrastructure and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) is required.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform or AWS CDK is essential.
• A proven track record of implementing security controls and best practices in CI/CD pipelines, including expertise in automated security testing and threat modeling, is necessary.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks, particularly SOC 2, is a must.
• Experience with modern programming languages, preferably Python, and the ability to implement security best practices across different technology stacks is required.
• A strong background in authentication mechanisms and access control systems is essential.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance security requirements against business objectives, are necessary.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive security initiatives are required.
