The role involves driving architectural decisions and implementing security controls across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and development workflows.
The engineer will partner with engineering teams to establish and maintain secure development practices, including threat modeling, security testing, and compliance frameworks.
The position reports directly to the CTO and co-founder as part of a small and agile team.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of software development experience, focusing on secure development practices and DevOps methodologies.
A deep understanding of cloud security architecture and hands-on experience securing AWS infrastructure and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) is required.
Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform or AWS CDK is essential.
A proven track record of implementing security controls and best practices in CI/CD pipelines, including expertise in automated security testing and threat modeling, is necessary.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks, particularly SOC 2, is a must.
Experience with modern programming languages, preferably Python, and the ability to implement security best practices across different technology stacks is required.
A strong background in authentication mechanisms and access control systems is essential.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance security requirements against business objectives, are necessary.
Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive security initiatives are required.
