Description:

  • Lastwall is a cybersecurity company focused on developing secure, identity-centric, and quantum-resilient cybersecurity solutions.
  • The company operates in compliance-driven environments such as defense, government, and critical infrastructure sectors.
  • The DevSecOps Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer will work on the continuous improvement and operation of DISA SRG IL4 and FedRAMP-Moderate compliant infrastructure, exclusively in AWS GovCloud.
  • The role involves advocating for best practices and optimal design decisions to enhance infrastructure.
  • The engineer will shape operational practices in a startup environment, emphasizing security, automation, and observability.
  • Responsibilities include improving and maintaining the Developer team's infrastructure tooling to ensure seamless testing and deployments.
  • Candidates are expected to have good coding skills, particularly in Node/Typescript, to support automation and operational tooling.
  • Participation in an on-call rotation is required to ensure system reliability during critical periods.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
  • US Citizenship is mandatory.
  • Exposure and experience in Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK is needed.
  • Familiarity with EC2, container orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes), and IAM practices is essential.
  • Knowledge of TCP Networking, GitLab, CodeCommit, CodePipeline, and CodeDeploy is required.
  • Experience with security scanning and automation, as well as PostgreSQL (RDS/Aurora), is necessary.
  • Candidates should be familiar with observability tooling like Amazon OpenSearch and CloudWatch.
  • Understanding of FedRAMP, NIST-800-53, GovCloud deployment, and operations is important.
  • Knowledge of FIPS-140-2, NGINX, NodeJS/TypeScript, and Identity Provider Management (SAML/OIDC) is required.
  • Proficiency in Bash scripting is also necessary.
