Description:
The Digital AWS DevOps Engineer will oversee and manage the Bank's AWS environment to support its technology-forward operations.
Responsibilities include executing operational activities, supporting technology design, providing on-call support, deploying and managing AWS multi-account environment, working with Systems and Development teams, identifying best practices, estimating costs, creating automation, assisting with data migration projects, and maintaining documentation.
The role involves integrating third-party relationships, promoting cybersecurity awareness, and staying updated on AWS services and developments.
Other duties include assisting with administrative tasks, configuring cloud management, monitoring cloud services, and ensuring technical documentation is up to date.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required.
Minimum of 5 years of Systems Administration experience is required.
Expertise in managing security within an AWS environment, Linux systems, and AWS security services is necessary.
Experience with AWS microservices applications on Kubernetes using EKS is required.
Proficiency in command-line operations, scripting, automation, and network/systems documentation is essential.
Strong communication skills, organization, efficiency, and adaptability are needed.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, databases, and AWS services like CloudWatch, VPC, S3, and Lambda is preferred.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, monitoring systems, networking services, and storage solutions in AWS is required.
Comfort with troubleshooting and scripting in Bash or Python is necessary.
