Remote Director of Engineering (AWS/React: web & mobile)

Description:

• IDT is looking for a Director of Engineering who will take informal leadership over UI development for one of their products.
• The role involves hands-on coding and requires knowledge of AWS.
• The Director of Engineering will oversee the front-end development of both a web app and a mobile app, both built in React.
• Responsibilities include the architecture and development of the product's UI, integrating best enterprise practices into the development process, sharing experiences among the team, driving technical improvements, working on new features and bugs, leading internal meetups, assisting colleagues with technical problems, and fostering a high-performance, customer-focused culture with a strong emphasis on quality.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have good experience in frontend frameworks or libraries such as Angular or React.js, as well as state containers, HTML, CSS, and build systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills are essential.
• Experience in the architecture of responsive and performance web design is required.
• A deep understanding of OOP and Functional programming paradigms in a front-end context is necessary.
• Experience in integrating unit testing and code quality instruments into the CI pipeline is expected.
• A good level of English (B2 or higher) is required.
• Candidates should have experience in driving a team and owning innovative technical solutions.
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or Heroku is mandatory.
