Description:
Lead the User-Generated Content Pillar, overseeing engineering teams for Scribd's core document experience and SlideShare.
Collaborate with Product Managers to develop and execute a monetization strategy balancing subscription and advertising revenues.
Facilitate collaboration between engineering teams, UX designers, and customer support to align product enhancements with business goals.
Advocate for resources, tech upgrades, and process improvements to promote technical excellence and expand user-generated content platforms.
Lead experimentation frameworks to test new features and ideas systematically, working with various engineering disciplines.
Manage talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies to build a high-performing engineering team.
Drive innovation and AI initiatives to enhance customer and developer experiences.
Requirements:
Minimum 10 years of experience in building software products.
5+ years of engineering management experience, including managing web frontend and backend teams.
Experience in scaling teams in high-growth companies and developing team capabilities.
Strong record of thriving in a customer-focused product development environment.
Ability to set strategic direction and execute with the team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven track record of setting measurable goals and metrics for teams.
Understanding of technology best practices and application security.
Experience with React, Ruby on Rails, and GraphQL is a plus.
