Description:
Lagrange Labs is seeking a Distributed System Engineer for a fully remote position worldwide.
The role involves developing production-level distributed systems in Rust, with a focus on cryptography.
The team is building ZK MapReduce, a novel proof system for large-scale batch storage inclusion and dynamic computations.
The core technology is Recproofs, a new vector commitment scheme optimized for onchain applications.
Responsibilities include participating in cross-team environments with cryptographers and researchers to design and implement an open-source solution for the distributed proving architecture.
The engineer will create and maintain software libraries and programs used by other systems in the stack.

Requirements:
Candidates must have significant experience building applications using Go or Rust.
A solid understanding of distributed systems principles is required.
Familiarity with Divide and Conquer concepts, such as MapReduce, is necessary.
Experience with distributed databases like MongoDB or MariaDB is required.
Understanding the basics of sharding is essential.
Knowledge of Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) and Blockchain is required.
Experience in designing and building distributed or peer-to-peer software systems is necessary.
