Vercel is seeking a Developer Experience (DX) Engineer to maintain and enhance the Next.js documentation site.
The ideal candidate enjoys building with Next.js and is passionate about writing and teaching others.
Responsibilities include triaging community issues, updating documentation, and advocating for Next.js publicly.
The role involves maintaining and updating the Next.js documentation site content and codebase.
The engineer will create examples, demos, and tutorials to educate developers on Next.js features and best practices.
The position requires acting as “customer zero” to ensure documentation meets real-world developer needs.
The engineer will review and refine documentation for clarity, technical accuracy, and adherence to the style guide.
Collaboration with the Next.js core team is essential to ensure documentation supports core features and real-world use cases.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience building with Next.js and be comfortable using it, providing examples of their work.
A passion for writing is essential, demonstrated through blog posts, tutorials, or other forms of technical writing.
Experience with frontend tools such as TypeScript, MDX, Markdown, and Git is required.
Candidates should be passionate about sharing knowledge and helping others learn.
A writing sample that showcases the ability to explain technical concepts is mandatory for application consideration.
