Description:

  • Architect and deploy Elasticsearch clusters to ensure high availability, scalability, security, and performance.
  • Fine-tune and optimize Elasticsearch indices and queries for improved search speed and efficiency.
  • Monitor and maintain Elasticsearch cluster health, conducting troubleshooting and maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Develop and manage data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and storing large datasets in Elasticsearch.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions.
  • Automate processes, manage infrastructure, and enhance data engineering practices using Linux systems and DevOps technologies.
  • Implement security features within Elasticsearch, including role-based access control (RBAC), encryption, and audit logging.
  • Stay updated on security updates and patches to protect Elasticsearch clusters against vulnerabilities.
  • Design, deploy, and manage SIEM solutions using the Elastic Stack to monitor and respond to security incidents.
  • Integrate Elasticsearch with various data sources to collect and analyze security-related data.
  • Develop alerting mechanisms and dashboards within Kibana for real-time insights into security threats.
  • Document processes, configurations, and best practices related to Elasticsearch and data engineering workflows.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in Elasticsearch, Linux, and DevOps technologies to introduce innovative solutions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Elasticsearch.
  • Hands-on experience managing and optimizing Elasticsearch clusters in a production environment.
  • Proficiency in Elasticsearch, Logstash, Beats, and Kibana (ELK Stack).
  • Strong background in Linux system administration, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with DevOps methodologies and tools, particularly in CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure as code.
  • Good programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or Bash scripting.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization tools like Docker.
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
