Description:
The Email Developer position at Brad's Deals is a remote, full-time role where you will collaborate with various teams to build, test, and ship email templates.
You will work with Product Managers, Designers, Marketing, and other Engineers to understand email marketing initiatives and shape future email templates.
Responsibilities include identifying UX/UI and Accessibility concerns, building modern email templating solutions, connecting content for personalization, and ensuring emails are accessible following WCAG best practices.
You will also maintain tooling for automated testing, integrate with marketing communications platforms, and build consumer-facing email experiences.
The role involves working with Front End and Full Stack developers, QA, Data, DevOps engineers, Designers, Product Managers, and Marketing Teams.
Additionally, you will review pull requests, provide feedback to improve code quality, and contribute to individual skill development goals.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in front-end web development and email template development with a focus on good design and exceptional user experiences.
Extensive knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript standards, modern browser APIs, build tools, and best practices is required.
Strong understanding of CSS within email templates, coding best practices with tables, and experience with email marketing platforms like Iterable, Braze, or Sendgrid.
Proficiency in major frameworks such as Handlebars, Liquid, Bootstrap, Material UI, Vue, React, Angular, REST, JSON APIs, SCSS/SASS, and automated testing suites.
Familiarity with version control (git), software development processes, agile methodologies, web design principles, and web standards.
Dedication to building accessible user interfaces, testing best practices, and familiarity with email regulations like the CAN-SPAM Act.
