Remote Embedded Firmware Development Engineer

Description:

• indie is seeking a skilled Firmware Engineer to design and develop custom firmware packages for Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) v2.0 and v2.1 emerging standards.
• The role involves supporting critical customer requirements by providing turnkey software packages or code solutions for integration and testing with customer firmware baselines.
• The engineer will provide expertise to ensure optimal hardware/software partitioning during the architectural design phase.
• Responsibilities include supporting prototyping efforts on FPGA and pre-silicon environments to enhance verification coverage and prepare for system bring-up.
• The position requires generating internal and customer-facing documentation following Quality Management System (QMS) best practices.
• The engineer will participate in and lead process-related improvements, including Continuous Integration (CI) automation.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
• At least 12 months of experience as a Firmware Engineer or in a related occupation is necessary.
• Experience in developing embedded wireless charging firmware running on System on Chips (SOCs) is required.
• Knowledge of WPC 2.0 standards and requirements, power circuit designs, and architecture is essential.
• Familiarity with GRL and Nok9 testers, ARM Cortex M series, IAR, GCC, and ARM Keil is required.
• Experience in Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) developments is necessary.
