The Embedded Linux Engineer will automate the infrastructure for flashing and provisioning IoT devices during manufacturing.
Responsibilities include automating software build and deployment for IoT devices, configuring Linux-based systems, and ensuring security controls.
The role involves managing over-the-air (OTA) systems, communications configurations, and potentially supporting Linux kernel development.
Candidates will work collaboratively with remote teams across the United States.
Requirements:
A minimum of 8 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years with Yocto, BSPs, Linux kernel, device drivers, bootloader configuration, and infrastructure automation.
Experience in configuring and deploying IoT systems, including OTA update systems and secure communications configurations.
Proficiency in writing and maintaining embedded Linux applications using C, C++, or similar languages.
Strong skills in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
Familiarity with software build systems and CI/CD pipelines.
A solid understanding of security protocols relevant to IoT environments.
Experience with Git, version control systems, and Agile methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
