Description:
The Firmware Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance firmware and software for cutting-edge mobile platforms and cameras.
They will debug, optimize, and validate firmware on complex embedded multi-core architectures.
The role involves participating in ground-breaking hardware and research projects.
The position will contribute to building next-generation HW platforms for Motive, focusing on shipping high-volume quality hardware.
The ideal candidate should have experience with mobile platforms and surrounding technologies, having shipped hundreds of thousands if not millions of devices.
The role requires a strong understanding of operating systems concepts, ARM or equivalent embedded multi-core microprocessor architectures, and familiarity with consumer electronics.
The candidate should have expertise in C/C++ for embedded systems, including algorithm development, data structure manipulation, and implementing highly optimized code.
Prior experience with overseeing board bring-up and validation, Linux OS with ARM or any microcontroller, automotive protocols, and peripheral protocols is essential.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in Firmware Engineering.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Strong programming experience and proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems.
Familiarity with ARM or equivalent embedded multi-core microprocessor architectures.
Understanding of operating systems concepts such as thread scheduling, context switching, and memory management.
Experience in using ARM debuggers and ability to understand hardware design and schematics.
Prior experience with overseeing board bring-up and validation.
Knowledge of Linux OS with ARM or any microcontroller, automotive protocols, and peripheral protocols.
