Remote Engineer, Backend (Developer Platform)

Description:

• Zapier is seeking a Backend Developer to join the Developer Platform team, which enables partners and internal developers to build, release, and maintain over 7,000 integrations.
• The role involves building an integration platform that allows developers to address various automation use cases.
• The position is fully remote, targeting candidates in Americas time zones (Atlantic, Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific).

Requirements:

• Candidates must have over 4 years of experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on building distributed, scalable web applications.
• Proficiency in Python, particularly with Django, is essential for contributing to backend features.
• Familiarity with cloud-based serverless code execution, specifically Node.js and AWS Lambda, is required.
• Experience in managing and publishing open-source codebases, including building and publishing Node.js packages on NPM, is necessary.
• Front-end experience with React is a bonus, allowing for end-to-end service of platform features.
