Remote Engineer, Database Reliability

Description:

• Seeking a Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE) to join the team in the Americas.
• Responsible for being stewards of Zapier's databases and helping architect the data infrastructure landscape.
• Need to address operational challenges and provide support for developing new products.
• Support continuous efforts with database performance and reliability, especially in PostgreSQL.
• Drive best practices around automation, performance, reliability, and disaster recovery.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in systems administration, systems engineering, or software development.
• At least 2 years of experience building and maintaining data services on PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in cloud-based database systems in AWS or another cloud platform.
• Comfortable with automating solutions and building tools to eliminate repetitive tasks.
• Ability to solve complex systems challenges and improve performance.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with teams.
• Alignment with Zapier's values and commitment to meaningful work and collaboration.
