Description:
The position is for a Full-Stack Engineer to join the Identity Team at Zapier.
The role involves scaling Authentication and Authorization systems to provide Access Controls and User Management for customers.
The job requires understanding customer needs and translating them into functional, production-ready code.
The engineer will work on frontend and backend systems using technologies like Python, Django, React, Node.js, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Vercel, and AWS.
Experience in responsive web design, UI/UX design principles, and familiarity with tools like Figma and Storybook is essential.
Familiarity with micro-service architecture, building resilient code, and knowledge of Authentication protocols such as OAuth2, SAML, JWT is a plus.
Collaboration with various teams within the organization, fostering teamwork, and communication is crucial.
The role involves developing features, maintaining services, improving frontend flows, and reducing technical debt in frontend services.
Participation in weekly team rotations and yearly company retreats in various cities throughout North America is expected.
Requirements:
Minimum 4+ years of software development experience.
Proficiency in frontend and backend systems.
Experience in responsive web design and UI/UX principles.
Familiarity with Python, Django, React, Node.js, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Vercel, and AWS.
Knowledge of micro-service architecture and Authentication protocols like OAuth2, SAML, JWT.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Ability to balance speed versus quality in code development.
