Description:

  • Bellese is a mission-driven Digital Services Company focused on innovative technology solutions in civic healthcare.
  • The Hospital Quality Reporting (HQR) system is utilized by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to measure the quality of care provided by hospitals.
  • As an Engineer II, you will influence projects and products, demonstrating proficiency in software engineering technologies.
  • You will scope, estimate, design, and deliver medium-to-large features while reducing technical debt.
  • Responsibilities include leveraging test-driven development for backend systems and user interfaces, contributing to API and data model development, and designing user interfaces based on UX designs.
  • You will also maintain data interactions, optimize data operations for performance and scalability, and ensure data integrity and security.
  • Understanding and contributing to automated testing suites is also part of the role.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in full stack development is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience with application development using Python, Go, Javascript (Angular), and SQL is necessary.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, specifically AWS (ECS, Lambda, SQS, S3), is required.
  • Knowledge of testing tools such as Cypress and Postman is important.
  • Understanding of security practices using AWS Security Hub, Snyk, and Dependabot is needed.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Docker, Terraform, and Feature Flags is essential.
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as New Relic and Cloudwatch is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, Zoom, and Slack is expected.
  • Candidates must be U.S. citizens or have documented proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. and have lived in the U.S. for at least the past 3 years.
  • Successful candidates will undergo a background investigation and must meet the requirements to hold a position of Public Trust.
