Remote Engineering Manager (JavaScript / NodeJS / Typescript)

Description:

• Lead small to mid-sized teams in building SaaS digital advertisement products using NodeJS Microservices
• Collaborate with Product Design, Product Management, and Architects to enhance development quality and reliability
• Stay 50% hands-on to guide and mentor Frontend and Backend Engineers
• Participate in code reviews, task planning, workload estimation, and project management
• Contribute to the improvement of engineering culture and practices
• Assist in hiring and mentoring engineers, and resolving production issues
• Develop high-performance applications with a focus on code quality, security, and efficiency
• Stay updated on technologies like Node.js and AWS
• Write and review tasks, estimate workloads, and ensure coding standards are followed

Requirements:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years of engineering leadership experience with a focus on team productivity
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts and engage in constructive conversations
• Proficiency in NodeJS with TypeScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks
• Knowledge of computer science fundamentals, scalable application design, and testing best practices
• Experience in strategic planning, architectural design, and fostering a growth-focused culture
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture, message busses, and pub/sub-systems
• Excellent problem-solving, project management, and mentoring skills
