Remote Engineering Manager (JavaScript / NodeJS / Typescript)

Description:

• Lead small to mid-sized teams in building SaaS digital advertisement products using NodeJS Microservices
• Collaborate with Product Design, Product Management, and Architects to enhance development quality and reliability
• Stay 50% hands-on to guide and mentor Frontend and Backend Engineers
• Participate in code reviews, task planning, workload estimation, and project management
• Assist in defining and executing the engineering hiring plan
• Provide career guidance and mentorship to team members
• Develop high-performance applications with testable, reusable, secure, and efficient code
• Stay updated on advancements in Node.js and AWS technologies
• Write and review tasks, estimate workloads, and ensure coding standards are followed
• Assist in resolving production issues and triaging with support and operations teams

Requirements:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years of engineering leadership experience with a focus on team productivity
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts and engage in constructive conversations
• Proficiency in NodeJS with TypeScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks
• Knowledge of computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems
• Experience in strategic planning, architectural design, and workshop organization
• Familiarity with scalable application design principles and event-driven architecture
• Expertise in automated and unit testing best practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and project management abilities
• Experience in mentoring teammates and fostering a growth-focused culture
