Description:

  • The Engineering Manager will lead small to mid-sized teams in building SaaS digital advertisement products using NodeJS Microservices.
  • Responsibilities include guiding and upleveling Frontend and Backend Engineers, performing code reviews, planning tasks and projects, estimating workloads, and providing guidance.
  • Collaboration with Product Design, Product Management, and Architects to enhance quality, reliability, and engineering culture.
  • Hands-on involvement with Typescript and NodeJS services, occasional mentoring, team spirit, and leadership skills are essential.
  • Leading cross-functional teams in implementing complex features, staying hands-on, and providing career guidance to team members.
  • Involvement in defining engineering hiring plans, ensuring coding standards, participating in design discussions, and resolving production issues.
  • Developing high-performance applications, recommending process and technology improvements, and staying informed about Node.js and AWS advancements.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience and 2+ years of engineering leadership experience.
  • Ability to write understandable, testable, and secure code with a focus on maintainability and reliability.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts and engage in constructive conversations.
  • Proficiency in computer science fundamentals, cross-team strategic planning, and architectural design.
  • Experience in organizing workshops, fostering growth-focused culture, and proficiency in NodeJS with TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with scalable application design principles, event-driven architecture, and automated testing best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, project management, and mentoring skills.
