Remote Engineering Manager (JavaScript / NodeJS / Typescript)

Description:

• Lead small to mid-sized teams in building SaaS digital advertisement products using NodeJS Microservices
• Collaborate with Product Design, Product Management, and Architects to enhance development quality and reliability
• Stay 50% hands-on to guide and mentor Frontend and Backend Engineers
• Participate in code reviews, task planning, workload estimation, and project management
• Contribute to the improvement of engineering culture and practices
• Assist in hiring and mentoring engineers
• Address production issues and support operations team
• Develop high-performance applications with a focus on code quality, security, and efficiency
• Stay updated on Node.js and AWS technologies
• Write and review tasks, estimate workloads, and ensure coding standards are followed

Requirements:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years of engineering leadership experience with a focus on team productivity
• Ability to write understandable, testable, and reliable code
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Proficiency in computer science fundamentals and scalable application design
• Experience in strategic planning, architectural design, and workshop facilitation
• Expertise in NodeJS with TypeScript, web stacks, and frameworks
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture, message busses, and automated testing
• Excellent problem-solving skills and project management abilities
• Experience in mentoring teammates and fostering a growth-focused culture
