Description:
The Engineering Manager for Public Web at Make will lead and grow a team focused on developing the make.com public website and related experiences crucial for user acquisition.
This hands-on role involves direct involvement in code, leading engineering initiatives, writing and reviewing RFCs, and technical documentation.
Initially leading a team of 3-4 software engineers, with potential for future team expansion, through mentoring, coaching, 1-on-1s, and code reviews.
Setting the technical direction for the team, enabling responsible technical decisions, identifying patterns, and promoting best practices across the engineering organization.
Collaborating closely with Product Manager, Growth, and Design teams to contribute to the vision and strategy of the product area.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience with a strong passion and expertise in front-end technologies.
At least 2 years of experience in a hands-on leadership role.
Understanding of the end-to-end web development process from code to production.
Passion for content-first web applications like product showcases, marketplaces, and product documentation sites.
Experience with technical SEO, Lighthouse performance score, and web performance optimization.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with designers, back-end developers, and other team members.
Strong command of English, both verbal and written.
