Description:

  • Seeking an experienced engineer to drive core technology efforts on the next game in the Subnautica universe within Unreal Engine 5.
  • Responsible for developing systems such as streaming, networking, graphics, and console support.
  • Opportunity to work with a talented, ambitious, and self-motivated engineering team.
  • Expected to architect, build, and deliver core technology systems and features to achieve creative goals.
  • Will mentor, review, and champion best practices for the wider engineering team.
  • Effective communication skills are crucial for working in a fully distributed team.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and mentoring skills with experience as a senior or principal engineer on at least one shipped title.
  • Deep knowledge of Unreal Engine systems, features, and workflows demonstrated through multiple shipped titles.
  • Proven experience in developing technical architecture for core engine systems and features in shipped Unreal Engine games.
  • Expertise in game development in C++.
  • Professional experience in developing and shipping multiplayer games within Unreal Engine.
