Culture Amp is seeking an experienced Engineering Team Lead for their Data Platform Team in Melbourne.
The role involves overseeing the internal data platform that integrates data from various products and external sources.
The Team Lead will empower analysts and data scientists to unlock powerful insights, contributing to Culture Amp's mission of enhancing employee engagement.
Key responsibilities include leading the design of the data platform, which encompasses the data lake, warehouse, data modeling, orchestration, and ML platform.
The Team Lead will mentor and develop engineers, fostering their growth into future technical leaders.
The position emphasizes people leadership, technical leadership, and ensuring timely project delivery within Agile, cross-functional, and remote-friendly teams.

Requirements:
Candidates must have a strong understanding of data engineering and data platform architecture, including data lake and data warehouse architecture, data modeling, and security and compliance considerations.
Experience with the AWS data stack, specifically Redshift, MSK, and Glue, is required.
Knowledge of key data stack components such as dbt and Airflow is essential.
Applicants should have experience managing stakeholders and leading engineers, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
The ideal candidate is a technical leader who balances hands-on technical skills with the ability to empower and coach engineers.
Openness to receiving and giving feedback to facilitate growth is also necessary.
