Description:
The Enterprise Security Engineer will work within the OpenAI Security organization, specifically in the IT team, to ensure that researchers, engineers, and staff have the necessary tools to work securely and comfortably.
This role involves implementing and managing the security of OpenAI's internal information systems’ infrastructure and processes.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing security measures to protect company information assets, monitoring systems for security threats, and enforcing IT and Security policies.
The engineer will collaborate with the IT department to enhance infrastructure security using best practices in AzureAD, GSuite, Github, and other SaaS tools.
Advising employees on best practices for maintaining security of endpoints and office AV and network infrastructure is also a key duty.
The role requires devising sharing controls and monitoring to protect company data, employing models like “secure by default” and “zero trust” for secure environments.
Identifying and remediating vulnerabilities in internal systems while adhering to data security best practices is essential.
The engineer will utilize AI-driven models for improved security detection, response, and data classification.
Educating employees on data security importance and contributing to endpoint and cloud security roadmaps by staying updated on security threats is expected.
This position is open to remote employees, with relocation assistance available to San Francisco.
Requirements:
Candidates should have experience in protecting and managing macOS fleets.
Experience in deploying and managing endpoint security solutions, such as management frameworks and EDR tools, is required.
Familiarity with public cloud service providers like Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure is necessary.
Knowledge of identity and access management frameworks and protocols, including SAML, OAUTH, and SCIM, is essential.
Experience with email security protocols such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC is required.
Intermediate or advanced proficiency in a scripting language, such as Python or Bash, is necessary.
Candidates should possess knowledge of modern adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures.
The ability to empathize and collaborate with colleagues, manage projects independently, and prioritize risk reduction efforts is important.
