Description:
The Enterprise Security Engineer at Tenable is responsible for identifying and matching technology opportunities with customer business issues and objectives.
This role involves assisting in developing business value propositions around Tenable Network Security products and solutions.
The engineer will drive sales through technical expertise, account management skills, sales ability, and a superior customer focus.
Participation as part of a sales team to achieve or exceed revenue targets is expected.
The engineer will act as a technical advisor and trusted cybersecurity expert for Tenable.
Responsibilities include delivering technical presentations and demos of Tenable Enterprise products.
The engineer will manage enterprise software trials and "Proof of Value" evaluations.
Answering technical questions and providing consultative security and compliance expertise is a key duty.
The role requires using technical skills to demonstrate to potential customers how and why to use Tenable products.
Executing "Proof of Value" evaluations of Tenable products against customer requirements is essential.
Maintaining current customer relationships and developing new ones is part of the job.
The engineer may help identify and develop new product concepts.
Providing status reports including trends in territory, upcoming events, follow-up, and adherence to goals is required.
Requirements:
A solid understanding of Exposure Management is necessary.
Candidates must have a solid understanding of Risk Based Vulnerability Management.
Strong knowledge in Cloud Security and Identity Security is required.
Familiarity with OT Security is preferred.
Experience in selling SaaS solutions is essential.
Candidates should have experience with Nessus or other network scanning technologies.
A solid foundational knowledge of TCP/IP and network security concepts is required.
Knowledge of compliance standards such as ISO, CIS, PCI, FISMA, SOX, and NERC is necessary.
Outstanding communication skills and the ability to adopt a consultative style when presenting ideas and products are essential.
Knowledge of specific customer service standards and procedures is required.
Detailed knowledge of Tenable Products is necessary.
The ability to plan, organize, and implement a range of sales programs is required.
Candidates must be detail-oriented and capable of accurate work with minimal supervision.
A Bachelor’s Degree and 5-7 years of direct SE experience are required.
It is great to have CISSP, cloud security, and architecture certifications.
