Description:
The Enterprise Solution Engineer (Pre-Sales) position is based in San Francisco and offers remote work options for West Coast candidates.
The role involves being the primary pre-sales technical point of contact for the Zip solution suite.
Responsibilities include helping prospects understand the value of the Zip application and its fit within their procurement and technical landscape.
The engineer will foster collaborative relationships with account executives and sales managers to drive deals to closure.
They will act as a trusted advisor to prospective customers, ensuring their needs are communicated effectively to post-sales solutions consultants for successful deployment.
The position requires providing input and feedback to improve sales processes and product development.
Key tasks include conducting discovery conversations, demonstrating solutions, responding to customer inquiries, and partnering with sales and post-sales teams.
Requirements:
Candidates must possess strong solution selling skills, with the ability to articulate the value of software solutions and address customer pain points.
Excellent discovery skills are required to lead focused conversations with customers.
Knowledge of key principles of software integration is essential.
A strong solutioning mindset is necessary to help customers envision the setup of the solution to meet their needs.
Candidates should be skilled in troubleshooting technical issues and be self-starters who can quickly grasp new technology.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a solution selling environment or a similar role with transferable skills is required.
Nice to haves include experience with applications like NetSuite, Coupa, Workday, Jira, ServiceNow, Ironclad, OneTrust, ProcessUnity, and various SSO tools, as well as integration or development experience with REST APIs and middleware tools.
