The role involves significant ownership of enhancing and scaling the automation engine vital to SME sourcing.
The ideal candidate should be a self-starter comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving projects forward in a lean, remote-first environment.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and implementing improvements to enhance the efficiency, scale, and reliability of existing automations.
The engineer will analyze complex problems within workflows and implement creative automated solutions.
The role requires independently driving automation projects end-to-end, including requirements analysis, solution design, planning, development, testing, deployment, and user documentation.
Proactive monitoring of automated workflows and troubleshooting operational issues is essential to maintain system health.
The engineer will need to quickly learn and apply suitable technologies for tasks, including low-code platforms, scripting, APIs, databases, or AI tools.
Clear communication with cross-functional teams regarding project status and potential roadblocks is crucial.

Requirements:

Candidates must demonstrate an independent and entrepreneurial drive, being highly self-motivated and proactive in a remote-first environment with minimal oversight.
Exceptional problem-solving skills are required, with a proven ability to analyze complex business problems and develop robust solutions.
Significant hands-on experience (5+ years) in designing, building, deploying, and maintaining automated workflows or software solutions is necessary.
