Description:
The Vehicle Diagnostics DevOps Engineer will be part of the Product Field - Vehicle Diagnostics team, focusing on developing modular software and providing consulting and professional services for vehicle diagnostic solutions.
The role involves automation and tooling, specifically developing and maintaining automated pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) using tools like Jenkins.
Responsibilities include managing and optimizing cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure) to ensure scalable and efficient infrastructure.
The engineer will implement and manage containerization using Docker and orchestrate containers with Kubernetes.
Setting up and maintaining monitoring solutions, analyzing system performance, and implementing optimizations for scalability and reliability are key tasks.
The position requires ensuring robust security measures, including network security, secure coding practices, and data encryption, while regularly updating systems to address security vulnerabilities.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues in development, testing, and production environments is essential, along with providing technical leadership in high-pressure situations.
Collaboration with development, QA, and operations teams is necessary to ensure a smooth deployment process, along with effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
The engineer will guide and mentor junior DevOps team members and lead DevOps strategy planning and implementation.
Staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and evaluating and recommending new tools and technologies to improve efficiency is also part of the role.
Requirements:
A completed degree in computer science, technical computer science, IT security, physics, or similar studies is mandatory.
At least 3 years of hands-on software engineering/SRE/DevOps experience with profound knowledge in operating a cloud service is required.
Experience with Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, logging, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines automation is essential.
An independent, systematic, and focused working practice is necessary, along with a hands-on mindset and intercultural skills.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in agile software development using programming languages like Go, Typescript, or Python is required.
A high sense of responsibility, very good communication skills, reliability, and being a team player are important personality traits.
A passion for solving hard technical problems and finding creative solutions is essential.
Business fluent English skills and Japanese proficiency above beginner level are required.
Preferred qualifications include experience in the automotive domain and Japanese proficiency at native or business level.
