Description:
The ETL Software Developer will create and maintain applications related to claims submission and management utilizing a Microsoft Development environment.
Responsibilities include ETL development, ETL monitoring and maintenance processes, and report development.
The developer will create and maintain application and database code for importing and exporting medical claims and related information.
They will maintain and create high-performance queries, stored procedures, and other database optimizations, diagnosing and resolving database access and performance issues.
Daily maintenance of database and ETL operations is required to ensure claims flow through the system properly and timely, while monitoring for quality.
The role involves conducting research and making recommendations on database products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
Collaboration with other team members to develop processes supporting ETL management and business intelligence is essential.
The developer will also develop automated database applications when possible, using applicable database tools and/or utilizing development staff.
They will work with Business Analysts to ensure that functions and processes meet business requirements for project completion.
Other duties may be assigned as required.
Requirements:
A Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have at least 2-6 years of software development and database experience with C# .Net, SQL Server, and SSIS.
Experience in healthcare data and transactions (i.e., X12, HL7) is necessary.
Familiarity with file operations tools such as WS_FTP and MOVEit is a plus.
Experience with MVC Framework, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, SQL, and SSRS is also a plus.
Knowledge of source control systems like Git, GitHub, or other similar systems is advantageous.
Candidates should have experience creating and maintaining Windows services.
Strong skills in ETL development and database design and architecture are required.
An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Strong computer proficiency and understanding of basic office applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), are necessary.
Regular and predictable attendance is expected.
A complete understanding of SQL, Stored Procedures, and Indexes is essential.
Proficient technical experience with designing, developing, and supporting database environments is required.
Understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices is necessary.
Candidates should have experience transforming business requirements into data processes.
Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws is required.
Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities are necessary.
Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
The ability to conduct research into database issues, standards, and products is required.
Candidates must be able to present ideas in user-friendly language.
The ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is necessary.
Candidates should be able to interpret, discuss, and coordinate information with multiple teams.
The ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment, is required.
