Description:
The company Laravel is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their all-remote infrastructure team based in the EU timezone.
The role involves improving the developer experience globally by focusing on building a solid infrastructure foundation.
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will work on ambitious projects, particularly the Laravel Cloud platform, designed for developers and teams to efficiently launch their projects.
Responsibilities include collaborating with a world-class team, researching solutions, pair programming, building custom tooling, and prioritizing documentation.
The position offers flexible hours, minimal bureaucracy, and a supportive work environment.
Requirements:
Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in similar roles, preferably with large-scale production systems.
Mastery of AWS and other cloud providers is essential, with a preference for experience in large AWS environments handling customer data across multiple regions.
Proficiency in Kubernetes (K8s) and container orchestration, especially with large clusters containing customer data.
Experience and strong opinions on logging, monitoring, alerting tools, and processes.
Comfortable with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in a team setting, enforcing checks and policies for scalability.
Knowledge of network protocols, load balancing, caching, DNS management, databases, caches, and storage in a containerized environment.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving, and all-remote work environment.
