Description:
We are looking for a talented Platform Engineer with a strong software engineering background to join our growing Platform Engineering team.
You will be a key contributor to building and evolving the software that empowers our developers to build and ship applications with speed and efficiency, specifically within the Azure cloud environment.
Your responsibilities will include creating tools and automation for infrastructure provisioning, continuous integration and delivery, and application lifecycle management.
You will leverage the power of Azure services and adhere to GitOps principles for a secure software development lifecycle (SDLC).
A crucial part of your role will be enhancing the developer experience (DevX) of our platform, ensuring it is intuitive, efficient, and enjoyable to use.
You will collaborate closely with infrastructure-focused platform engineers to ensure seamless integration between software and infrastructure.
Requirements:
You must have a strong foundation in software engineering principles and practices, with a focus on cloud-native development and deployment methodologies.
Previous experience in both backend and frontend engineering is a must.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, C#, JavaScript, or Node is required.
You should have an understanding of user experience (UX) and developer experience (DevX) principles, focusing on designing and building user-friendly cloud-based tools and platforms.
Experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies is essential, particularly in secure development practices and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
Solid experience as a Cloud Engineer with a focus on Azure solution architecture and best practices is necessary, including knowledge of Azure services relevant to cloud software development.
You should have experience with GitOps principles and tools, such as FluxCD or GitHub Actions, for managing and deploying cloud infrastructure and applications.
Familiarity with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code principles, particularly for Azure deployments, is required.
Experience with the integration of software with the platform's infrastructure using Kubernetes, preferably AKS, is necessary.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills are essential, along with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in cloud-based applications.
You must be able to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly, particularly in the rapidly evolving cloud landscape.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are required, with experience in working effectively with cross-functional teams in a cloud environment.
