Description:

Stytch is seeking an Experienced Database Engineer to design and build secure and highly reliable database infrastructure for customers globally.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a database, infrastructure, or platform engineer.
Strong expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting scalable and performant database systems, preferably MySQL, is required.
A solid understanding of relational and non-relational database structures and best practices is necessary.
Candidates should have strong expertise in database internals, including performance tuning and query optimization.
Experience in integrating best practices for data reliability, fault tolerance, and integrity is essential.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS and RDS, is required.
Experience in designing and building highly reliable systems at scale is necessary.
Some experience with observability tooling (e.g., ELK, Datadog, Honeycomb) and a compiled language (e.g., Go) is preferred.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker) and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, GitOps) is also required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $185,000 to $225,000, not including full benefits such as equity, health care insurance, time off, and paid parental leave.
