Remote Experienced Product Security Engineer

Description:

• Plaid is seeking an Experienced Product Security Engineer to join their Product Security Team, which aims to improve customer trust by ensuring secure development and delivery of products and services.
• The role involves collaborating closely with engineering and product teams to integrate security into the product lifecycle, from inception to deployment.
• Responsibilities include conducting Threat Modeling and Risk Assessments, performing security testing and reviews, leading incident response efforts, and fostering a security-conscious culture through education and mentorship.
• The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing secure solutions and building robust security programs, along with a deep understanding of security best practices and industry trends.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in product and application security concepts, including API, web, and mobile app security is required.
• The ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership, is essential.
• Expertise in conducting comprehensive threat modeling and risk assessments to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities is necessary.
• Proficiency in secure SDLC practices, application security testing tools (SAST, DAST, Burp Suite), container security (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud security is required.
• Candidates must demonstrate the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and excel in ambiguous situations.
• Knowledge and experience in securing AI/ML based products, as well as experience with risk management in financial technology companies, are considered a plus.
• Experience with red teaming or penetration testing is also a nice to have.

Benefits:

• The target base salary for this role ranges from $186,840 to $279,720 per year, with additional compensation in the form of equity and/or commission depending on the position offered.
