Remote Experienced Security Engineer

Description:

• WorkOS is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to build out security-related product features in areas such as anti-abuse, rate limiting, and account takeover detection.
• The role involves designing, developing, and implementing security features and enhancements for software products.
• Responsibilities include scoping projects, understanding market needs, collaborating with engineering teams, and working on greenfield ideas.
• The ideal candidate will stay updated on cloud product security, authentication, and identity domains.
• The company is fully distributed with employees across US and EU time zones and has a fast-growing customer base in the SaaS industry.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of industry software development experience.
• Strong expertise in at least one programming language and familiarity with others.
• Knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies, including web application security, network security, and authentication mechanisms.
• Understanding of security frameworks and standards such as OWASP, NIST, and ISO/IEC 27001.
• Experience in B2B SaaS, developer tools, or related industries is a bonus.
• High emotional intelligence, strong communication skills, and a growth mindset are desired qualities.
