Description:
The Experienced Software Engineer - Customer Risk position at Plaid involves working on the Customer Risk team to manage Plaid's risk from the perspective of customers, both new and existing.
Responsibilities include building a new risk engine to facilitate seamless customer onboarding while ensuring compliance with regulations, developing a platform for continuous risk monitoring for existing customers, and contributing to Plaid's revenue potential.
The role requires driving technical projects across teams, defining the team's technical roadmap, engaging in coding and architectural design, debugging and hardening the risk platform, and mentoring and leading junior engineers.
Requirements:
8+ years of experience in software engineering with a successful track record of shipping projects.
Extensive hands-on experience in software engineering with successful project deliveries.
Strong cross-functional collaboration, communication, and project management skills.
Proficiency in coding, testing, and system design.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to mentor and guide junior engineers.
Experience collaborating with operations, product, design, and data science teams.
Nice-to-have: Experience in the customer risk/due diligence engineering domain.
Benefits:
The target base salary for this role ranges from $182,520 to $297,000 per year.
Additional compensation in the form of equity and/or commission is dependent on the position offered.

Pay is determined by factors such as the scope of responsibilities, candidate's work experience and skillset, and location.
