Description:
The Finance Data Analyst will work within the Financial Reporting team, supporting the evolution of financial reporting in a challenging and stimulating environment.
This role involves bridging the gap between finance and business intelligence (BI) to assist the business in making data-driven decisions.
The analyst will track key financial metrics and KPIs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining comprehensive financial dashboards using advanced BI tools and providing detailed insights into financial performance, trends, and variances.
The role also involves ensuring accurate and timely collection of financial data from systems like Oracle NetSuite and integrating data from multiple sources for a unified financial view.
The analyst will analyze profitability and cost efficiency to identify areas for improvement and support audits and regulatory documentation.
Automation of repetitive financial tasks and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency are also key responsibilities.
The analyst will utilize BI tools like Tableau for dynamic, interactive reports and dashboards, enhancing report quality and accessibility beyond traditional spreadsheets.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Econometrics, or a related field is required.
Demonstrable experience in using SQL to derive actionable insights in either a commercial or academic setting is a must.
Knowledge of Python/R and a desire to expand this knowledge is preferred.
Experience with statistical modeling and descriptive statistics is necessary.
The candidate should have experience in partnership with internal stakeholders and in leading and executing end-to-end BI projects.
Strong written and oral communication skills in English are required; proficiency in other languages such as German, Spanish, and Italian is a plus.
The ability to gather, organize, analyze, and report large volumes of financial data with speed and accuracy is essential.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to provide high-quality work efficiently are important.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to adapt and work in a quickly changing environment.
