Description:
ASE Global is hiring a Financial Data Analyst to join their team in the UK.
The role involves analyzing financial data, generating insights, and developing reports to support decision-making across the organization.
The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn raw data into actionable intelligence, driving business growth and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities include analyzing financial data sets, providing insights into key financial performance indicators, conducting variance analysis, and developing Power BI dashboards and reports.
The analyst will transform raw data into user-friendly visualizations, ensure the accuracy and relevance of Power BI reports, and gather data from multiple sources.
The role also involves collaboration with various teams, presenting financial insights to stakeholders, performing ad hoc analysis, and creating customized reports for senior management.
The position allows for remote work anywhere in the UK.
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field is essential.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial data analysis with a focus on data-driven decision-making is required.
Proven experience in developing reports and dashboards using Power BI is necessary.
A strong understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and financial statement analysis is essential.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, including DAX and Power Query, is required.
Experience with financial databases and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite is a plus.
Solid knowledge of data modeling, querying languages (SQL), and ETL processes is necessary.
The ability to work with large data sets and perform complex analysis while maintaining attention to detail is required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements, are essential.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for presenting complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
Power BI Certification and financial analyst certifications such as CFA, FMVA, or CPA are preferred.
Previous experience in a finance function within a SaaS, Enterprise Software, or Private Equity business is highly advantageous.
The candidate must be a fast learner, adaptable, and possess time management skills to meet deadlines.
Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or Looker, and familiarity with cloud data services (e.g., Azure, AWS) is beneficial.
Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is essential.
The candidate must be legally authorized to work in the UK.
