Description:
The Financial Data Analyst will analyze financial data, identify trends, and help guide informed decisions that improve profitability and operational efficiency.
This role involves working closely with finance teams, data scientists, and business leaders to gather, analyze, and interpret financial data.
Key responsibilities include gathering and interpreting financial data to identify trends, creating detailed financial reports, developing predictive models, and providing insights for key business decisions.
The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between data insights and business objectives.
Monitoring financial performance metrics, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and identifying cost-saving opportunities are also essential tasks.
The role requires ensuring data accuracy and integrity through robust data validation processes.
Requirements:
Strong experience in financial data analysis, with expertise in building financial models, performing trend analysis, and using statistical techniques to analyze large datasets.
Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data analysis tools like Python or R is required.
Experience developing predictive models to forecast financial performance and project revenues and costs, with familiarity in machine learning algorithms.
Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or other dashboarding tools is necessary.
Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and business teams are essential.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when analyzing financial data is required.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field is required, with equivalent experience in financial data analysis highly valued.
Certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) are a plus.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial data analysis, with hands-on experience analyzing financial statements and developing data-driven insights is required.
Experience in industries such as finance, banking, insurance, or tech is highly desirable.
