Description:

XTI Aerospace is seeking a talented Flight Dynamics Engineer to join their innovative team and contribute to the TriFan 600 project.
The role involves developing and refining high-fidelity flight dynamics models for the VTOL and transition phase.
Responsibilities include conducting flying qualities analyses and supporting flight test campaigns to ensure optimal aircraft stability, control, and overall flight performance.
The position requires strong self-motivation and the ability to work in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities include modeling and simulation, flying qualities analysis, integration and collaboration with cross-functional teams, technical development, and ensuring compliance with certification standards.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in VTOL or rotary wing flight dynamics.
Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and similar simulation tools is necessary.
A solid understanding of flight mechanics, stability, and control principles is essential.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required.
Flexibility to learn other Flight Science skills and a willingness to assist in those areas if needed is expected.
Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline, experience with “clean sheet” airplane projects, and fixed wing flight dynamics experience.
