Description:
True Anomaly is seeking a Senior Flight Software Engineer to contribute to innovative technology for space security and sustainability.
The role involves experiencing every phase of the spacecraft program including design, analysis, manufacturing, test, and flight.
Responsibilities include assisting in the software development cycle for flight computers, integrating GNC algorithms with flight software, and collaborating with the ground C2 software team.
The engineer will also assist with command scripting, design satellite subsystem model simulators, and develop reusable device drivers and communication protocol libraries for flight hardware.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field is required, along with 4+ years of experience in low-level firmware architecture, design, and development.
Candidates must have experience with low-level device driver development and safety-critical systems.
Familiarity with embedded RTOS such as RTLinux or Azure RTOS is necessary.
Knowledge of common protocols like Ethernet, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS422, RS485, and networking protocols such as UDP and TCP/IP is required.
Proficiency in programming languages C/C++, Rust, and Zig is essential.
A Master's degree and 3-5 years of experience in developing FSW for space applications are preferred.
Candidates should be able to maintain or obtain TS/SCI clearance and have experience with version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery concepts.
Benefits:
The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $123,500 to $155,500 for remote work, and $141,300 to $162,200 for positions in Los Angeles, CA.
