Remote (Fluent English) Junior Python Developer (web scraping)

Description:

• The company is seeking a fast-learning Junior Python Developer with a passion for Python and code quality to work on web scraping projects.
• The role involves developing efficient web scraping scripts for E-Commerce data extraction using Python.
• The Junior Python Developer will collaborate with a team of 60+ specialists to ensure high-quality data output and resolve any issues that arise.
• Responsibilities include troubleshooting client-reported bugs, implementing testing procedures for Python-based web scraping scripts, and maintaining regular communication with team members.
• The team works on SaaS products that transform web data from the open and dark web into structured web data feeds for machine consumption.

Requirements:

• Fluent written and spoken English is a must.
• Candidates should have 1–2 years of commercial experience with Python coding and scripting.
• Experience in code development with JavaScript, HTML & CSS is required.
• Strong web scraping experience and knowledge of HTML structure for entity extraction are essential.
• Hands-on experience with Linux, familiarity with GitHub, and working with Relational Databases are necessary.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and good documentation skills are important.

Would Be a Plus:

• Experience in Web crawling, network traffic understanding, or experience with Non-relational Databases.
• Understanding or experience with data collection, big data, and working in E-commerce / News, blogs.
• Ability to work collaboratively for a common result and a great sense of humor 🙂
