Description:

Altimate AI is seeking a Founding DevOps Engineer to lead the DevOps initiative and architect the infrastructure strategy from the ground up.
The role involves designing, building, and maintaining a scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure for the company's AI products, DataPilot and DataMates.
Responsibilities include developing CI/CD pipelines, managing container orchestration with Kubernetes, implementing Infrastructure as Code practices, and setting up observability systems.
The engineer will ensure security and compliance, collaborate with software engineers and data scientists, and advocate for DevOps best practices.
As a founding team member, the engineer will champion a DevOps culture and mentor other engineers on DevOps practices.

Requirements:

A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments is required.
Strong experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and proficiency in cloud services for compute, storage, and networking is essential.
Proficiency in setting up CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD is necessary.
Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi is required.
Strong scripting and automation skills in Bash, Python, or Go are needed for building tooling and automating tasks.
Deep knowledge of observability and logging/monitoring frameworks is essential, with the ability to set up dashboards and alerts.
Proven experience leading DevOps initiatives and building scalable infrastructure is required, especially in a startup environment.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
