As a Founding Engineer, you will design and develop an AI-driven cognitive screening and assessment platform with a focus on speech and natural language analysis.
You will lead the selection of our AI/ML tech stack, ensuring scalability, security, and integration of AI technologies.
Your responsibilities include developing speech processing models to analyze speech patterns, fluency, pauses, and language structure to detect cognitive decline.
You will apply existing generative AI models to enhance healthcare decision-making and build real-time speech-to-text and voice analysis pipelines.
You will implement NLP models to analyze spoken and written language patterns in patient interactions.
The role involves working on multi-modal AI approaches that integrate speech, text, and behavioral data for comprehensive cognitive screening.
You will design and implement secure, cloud-based architectures that comply with HIPAA and healthcare data regulations.
Collaboration with data scientists, neuroscientists, and clinicians will be essential to refine AI applications for cognitive health.
You will drive best practices in AI ethics, model explainability, and bias mitigation for speech-based assessments.

Requirements:

You must have 7+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with a strong background in speech processing, NLP, and generative AI.
Expertise in speech analysis, including automatic speech recognition (ASR), speech-to-text, speaker diarization, prosody analysis, and sentiment detection is required.
Experience with speech AI frameworks such as DeepSpeech, Whisper, Kaldi, Mozilla TTS, and OpenAI Whisper is necessary.
Proficiency in machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, and OpenAI APIs is essential.
A strong understanding of acoustic modeling, phonetics, and computational linguistics in healthcare applications is needed.
Hands-on experience in cloud-based AI deployments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and API development is required.
Familiarity with FHIR/HL7, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare data security best practices is necessary.
An entrepreneurial mindset and experience in early-stage startups or AI product development is a plus.
