Remote Founding Engineer, Full Stack

Description:

• The company is on a mission to eliminate bottlenecks and revolutionize the food and beverage CPG supply chain by developing innovative, all-in-one software that starts with the contract manufacturer.
• Contract manufacturers and contract packagers, collectively known as co-packers, provide essential services in the trillion-dollar U.S. Food and Beverage Consumer Packaged Goods industry.
• The company is building vertical B2B SaaS for F&B manufacturers to manage daily operations, including estimating costs, ordering raw materials, tracking inventory, managing communication with brands, and automating production tasks.
• The platform aims to consolidate fragmented software systems and streamline workflows both internally and externally.
• The founding team has extensive experience in the F&B industry and has raised $1M from Bienville Capital.
• The company values integrity, customer obsession, bias for action, lean product development, ownership, and accountability.
• The role involves working closely with the CTO and CEO to understand product strategy and lead software development using lean and agile methodologies.
• The founding engineer will be responsible for all aspects of the software development process, architectural decisions, and building the organization.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering is required.
• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in architecting, developing, testing, and launching web applications end to end.
• Experience working across the stack, including front-end, back-end, database, and DevOps, is necessary.
• The ideal candidate should be a fast learner who is comfortable dealing with ambiguity and complex problems.
• Familiarity with software development best practices, including Scrum, testing, lean development, SOLID principles, and code reviews, is essential.
• Bonus points for previous experience at a high-growth fast-paced startup and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Experience with the tech stack, including NextJS, React, Typescript, Tailwind CSS, Mantine UI, PostgreSQL, Prisma, and Trpc API, is a plus.
