Description:

The company is building an AI copilot for educators, universities, and international schools, supported by Antler and Nvidia.
The role is for a founding engineer who will help define the architecture, ship critical features, and set the technical bar.
Responsibilities include building scalable PDF and image processors for high-volume grading queues, integrating with LMS platforms (Canvas, Moodle, Google Classroom) and SSO (OAuth, SAML), and building a multi-agent AI stack.
The engineer will set up CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and environment orchestration with instant rollbacks.
They will implement workflows for grading, student coaching, and academic integrity, and build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines with vector stores and inline citations.
This position offers a chance to help build an AI startup from the inside with real equity, autonomy, and a direct path to technical leadership.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 2+ years of experience with PHP/Laravel, MySQL, Linux/Apache, and Vue or React.
A focus on performance is essential, including profiling, caching, and testing.
Experience in shipping CI/CD pipelines with observability and rollback is required.
Candidates should have experience building or orchestrating multi-agent systems.
Familiarity with vector databases such as Pinecone, Qdrant, or Supabase Vector is necessary.
Applicants should have something real they’ve built and shipped to users.

The position offers the title of Founding Engineer with equity from Day 1.
Compensation is equity-first, with salary added post-funding.
